The baroque mill had stood empty for twenty years and the structure was given a few more winters at best. The renovation kept the stone walls, the timber ceilings and the mill room with its original machinery — the new work is legible: steel, glass and lime render.

The farm wing became two apartments for three generations of one family, with the mill room as shared space. Every decision went through the budget — the house was repaired in four stages over four years, and not one stage went over plan.
